Every year, 300 million people suffer from vaginal infections caused by yeast and bacteria. When it comes to vaginal health, doctors and sexual health experts agree that underwear made from natural fibers, such as cotton, is the best choice for your body.

The vagina is a self-cleaning anatomical wonder that needs to "breathe" to function properly. With underwear made of cotton or highly breathable materials, proper ventilation is guaranteed thanks to natural fibers that allow air to flow down there . Thank you, natural fibers!

My mom always told me to wear cotton underwear, and so I did, although at the time I didn't really understand why.

Today, as part of Cocotfyma, I think a lot about the advice our mothers have given us and how we can pass it on to the new generations. We realize how important it is to educate ourselves about what really cares for and protects our bodies. When it comes to underwear, there is research that shows that advice was true: most doctors agree that cotton, especially in its most natural form, is the best for our health.

Cocotfyma is a family business founded by my mother, Rosaura, more than 25 years ago in Peru. In 2017, I joined the project to continue this legacy, but also with a vision for the future. Since 2018, we have been working to become a company that meets fair trade standards, making sure to take care of not only those who use our products, but also those who make them possible.

Our underwear made from natural fibers is a direct representation of our commitment to health, wellness and ethics. We believe that understanding our bodies better and feeling empowered in them are completely connected. Underwear can be functional, healthy, beautiful and responsible.
